Florida Legacy contains content digitized from the collections of Tampa Bay Library Consortium (TBLC) member libraries, including photographs, books, pamphlets, documents, and newspaper clippings. Fifteen participating libraries have contributed over 50,000 records, including over 5,000 digital images of visual materials.

Site Overview / Navigation
This website is organized by collection. Each web page is
composed of a navigation area on the left, and the main content on
the right. A menu is also available on
each page.
There are multiple access points: Browsing individual items
& Searching full-text, keywords & phrases including more
complex compound searches with results limits.
Searching
- Use the simple keyword (all the words) search box. This is a
full-text search of the entire digital collections database.
- Choose the advanced search option which provides multiple
search types with search limiting capabilities.
- The results set from any search is organized by title.
Browsing
- Collection Catalog. Browse the main collection catalog,
organized alphabetically by collection title.
- Browse collection items: You can browse all the items in a
collection by title.
- Browse by type: There are enhanced browsing/navigation and
display/presentation features for some types of digital objects,
such as images & journals.
Individual collection level access
- Collection Description: A brief overview of the collection and
its contents.
- Indexes/Descriptive information: More detailed textual
information about the collection contents. Details may range from a
simple folder list to a full & detailed archival guide.
- Digital Collection Resources: Links to other primary or
supplimental digital content; including browsing all items and by
content type (See above Browsing section).
